The RoadRunners- is an interesting, fun group of men and women, age 50+, who get together monthly for fellowship and day trips (courtesy of Harris County Precinct 4 buses). Trips in the past have included the Bolivar Peninsula, Rice University, The Forbidden Gardens, Old Town Spring, and more.
E.C.O.T.G.S. has a new
name...ROADRUNNERS On our March trip to Nacogdoches, a congenial
band of 20 decided the name was fitting. So come join us on
Wednesday, April 15 when we'll go to the River Oaks Theater, one of
the last of the deluxe neighborhood theaters that opened in November
1939 with Ginger Rogers in "Bachelor Mother". Movie schedule for
April will be posted April 1. Watch the bulletin for exact film
title options and departure time. We'll have lunch before the movie
at a nearby deli. Sign up sheet in the hallway outside the Great
Hall. For further information, contact Karen Bush, 281-358-6726.
The RoadRunners also maintain a lending closet, which includes canes, crutches, walkers, and other items needed for persons suffering with, or recovering from, an illness or injury.
For the lending closet, contact Jeannine Garbacik at 281-358-7883.
For trips, contact Karen Bush at 281-358-6726.
P.S. If you have a family member or members (50+) who would like to join us on some of these trips, just give us a call. We love to meet new people! |
