Peace and Stitch welcomes quilters and
stitchers at every level, and the projects range from fun craft
projects and small hand-stitched pieces to quilted wall-hangings and
table-runners. Projects are adaptable to be neutral or seasonal and
appropriate for gift-giving, fund-raising, and “just-for-me!” New
projects are introduced at the first session of each month to be
completed at the second meeting. Projects are easy enough to be
learning pieces, but interesting enough for those with experience.
Our purpose is to reach out to others in the
friendship of Christian Fellowship through encouragement, support,
and awareness.
We encourage those who have never tried quilting
before to give it a try in this “yes, you can” environment. Even if
quilting is not your “thing,” just come and bring along your
crochet, knitting, cross-stitch or bead-work. Who knows—you may
catch the “quilting bug!”
Supply lists for the current projects will always be available in
the Kiosks. Look at the Peace and Stitch pamphlet for additional
handy information (also in the Kiosks.)
Peace and Stitch meets on the FIRST and THIRD Thursday of every
month 9:30-12:30 in room 211 (conveniently timed while the little
ones are in school/pre-school.)
