*"What is New Light? The New Light Service is a young-family, child-centered worship service that speaks to our youngest Christians. It begins at 10:15 on Sundays in the Great Hall and upon completion moves to the Nave for communion with our parish family. Our youngest Christians serve as the acolytes and readers for the service and music is praise in nature. Once a month, New Light has its own communion service, usually in conjunction with game day and pizza. Our goal for New Light is to feed our future parish with a love of God and the depth of the Episcopal tradition.

** Taizé Style Worship at Good Shepherd - A service in the style of the Taizé (Teh-ZAY) is offered on the second Sunday of each month a 6:30 pm in the Narthex. The Taizé style of Christian worship originated in a ecumenical religious community in the village of Taizé, France. With meditative singing, brief scripture readings, simple prayers, and periods of silence, Taizé helps to quiet the mind, open the heart , and feed the soul. Taizé worship is both meditative and beautiful, employing candlelight and icons to evoke a sense of holy presence that calms our "busy" souls. Whatever a person's beliefs or denomination, Taizé services offer a time of quiet and solitude in the presence of God.
