Youth Sunday School Time Change
Effective Sunday, January 25, 2026, Youth Sunday School for 3rd to 8th grades will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. This change will give you 3 options:
· After Sunday School. Your child may join you for the remainder of the 10:15 worship service, or
· Before Sunday School. You and your child may attend the 9:15 Young Family Celebration followed by Sunday school, or
· Sunday School Only. Your child may attend Sunday School and leave with you afterwards.
For option 1, we will reserve three of the back rows for Sunday School children and family to sit during the service. Please let our ushers know that you will be sitting in one of these rows. Your children will be escorted into the service during Passing the Peace.
3rd & 4th grade meet in Room 207
5th to 7th grade meets in Room 211
8th grade and highschool meets in the Youth Room (217)
Confirmation: Those who wish to be confirmed on March 1, 2026 should attend Youth Sunday School regularly to be prepared for confirmation. For more details, contact Corky Foltz at cfoltz@goodshepherdkingwood.org.
First Communion
First Holy Communion preparation classes, a meaningful part of our children's faith formation and growing understanding of the Holy Eucharist.
Class dates:
Sunday 10 a.m.-10:30 a.m. meet in School Library
January 25, February 1, 22, March 1,8 and 29th
April 12th will be the First Communion Celebration (Sunday after Easter)
Families are asked to plan to attend all sessions. For additional information, please

Children in 2nd grade and under should attend our 9:15 family service, where they will hear teaching geared towards their age group rather than a regular sermon, and they will have special activities and additional learning at the end of the service.
