Every church is unique, and so is its Verger. At Good Shepherd, we have been blessed by the faithful ministry of Paul Brinsden, who answered the call to serve as Verger 35 years ago.
For three and now four priests, countless lay ministers, and generations of young acolytes, Paul’s tireless dedication has been a guiding presence. He has helped young people grow from nervous eight- and nine-year-old acolytes into confident young adults and lead-ers. Under his guidance, Good Shepherd has developed one of the largest acolyte pro-grams in the Diocese—and perhaps even the state!
Paul’s lifelong commitment to Good Shepherd is an extraordinary example of faith-fulness, dedication, and servant leadership. His ministry has truly been a blessing to our church and to the many people whose lives he has touched.
Please join us on Sunday, September 13, following the 10:15 service in the Parish Hall, as we celebrate Paul Brinsden’s 35th anniversary as Verger of Good Shepherd.
We will enjoy delicious charcuterie boards and desserts, share memories, and offer our thanks for all Paul has done. A special box will also be available for you to leave a personal note of appreciation or a favorite memory.
Come help us celebrate a remarkable man and 35 years of remarkable ministry
